Medium Density Fibreboard

Plain MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard) is an engineered wood product made by breaking down hardwood or softwood residuals into fine wood fibers, combining them with a synthetic resin binder and wax, and pressing them into flat panels under high heat and pressure.

Key Characteristics

• Smooth & Uniform Surface: Features an exceptionally flat and smooth surface that makes it ideal for painting, lacquering, or bonding with decorative overlays like melamine, real wood veneers, or HPL (High-Pressure Laminate).

• Consistent Density: Lacks grain direction, allowing it to be easily cut, routed, drilled, and shaped without splitting or splintering along edges.

• Standard Grade (Non-Moisture-Resistant): "Plain" or standard MDF is intended purely for dry interior use. Unlike MDF HMR, it will absorb water easily and swell if exposed to high moisture or direct water.
