MDF HMR (V313)

MDF HMR (V313)

MDF HMR V313 is a premium, high-performance grade of High Moisture Resistant (HMR) Medium Density Fiberboard. The designation "V313" refers to a stringent European testing standard (EN 321) that certifies the board’s ability to withstand severe cyclic moisture, humidity, and temperature changes.

While standard MDF HMR is suitable for general humid areas, V313-grade MDF is engineered for extreme durability, offering maximum protection against swelling, edge expansion, and structural breakdown.

Key Characteristics & Benefits

  • Maximum Moisture Resistance: Uses specialized polyurethane or advanced melamine-resin bonding systems for superior water repellency compared to standard HMR.

  • Minimal Swelling: Retains its original shape and dimensions even under direct water exposure or extreme humidity.

  • Enhanced Internal Bond Strength: Exceptional screw-holding capacity and tight edge integrity, preventing crumbly edges when CNC cutting or routing.

  • Green Core Identification: Frequently dyed green throughout the core during production for easy identification on job sites (though the green dye is purely visual and does not provide the water resistance).
